International Acclaim for S4C and Green Bay Media

19th February 2016

Following on from the UK CHILDRENS BAFTA NOMINATION the dynamic series is once again gaining recognition for highlighting difficult topics in teens.

LLOND CEG, Green Bay's trailblazing Live Action Children's Series has been shortlisted for the New York International Television and Film Awards, honouring programmes from over 50 countries across the globe.

Presented by Aled Haydn Jones, Kizzy Crawford and Geraint Hardy, the series was made in partnership with National Children's Charity Childline, MEIC and the Children's Commissioner for Wales. The series tackles big issues head on as young people share advice and experiences on tough topics from Divorce to Self-Harm, Bullying to First Kisses, even Puberty.

The nomination is a source of great pride for S4C, says Director of Content and Broadcasting, Dafydd Rhys, and it reflects the channel's ambition to seek out opportunities to showcase content across the world and to work in partnership with international companies.

"The opportunities to celebrate Welsh content on an international stage and to work with companies across the globe are particularly important for S4C. Nominations for international awards such as these are the crowning glory. Congratulations to everyone involved"

Green Bay is in Production on Series 2 of LLOND CEG due for Broadcast in Autumn 2016 after a repeat showing of the first series. Llinos Griffin-Williams, Series Producer says;

"It was vital that we made a series that tackled the important issues worrying young people... no matter how big or small they may seem. We simply asked the question and more importantly listened! LLOND CEG reflects the relentless honesty and bravery of our Children and Young people. This is truly their show. The peer advice format puts them at the heart of the series, from tips on coping with acne to sharing experiences of depression and anxiety. We are very proud of creating fresh impactful programming, creating a platform for young voices to be heard, and in working with partners to do that."

The 2016 New York International Film and Television awards are held in Las Vegas on 19 April, 2016.
