Love Steals us from Loneliness

Why make a play prompted by the Bridgend suicides of 2008 and stage it in Bridgend? It was a story that raised questions about the behaviour of the press, with accusations that the coverage may have made matters worse and even caused suicides.  But now, two years on, playwright Gary Owen and director John McGrath believe that the subject of teenage depression is unavoidable if Wales and its National Theatre care about the lives of our young people.

The commitment, belief and working practices of these two men will be central to the programme, as we follow the way they engage with Bridgend and with people in the area.
